"Theft of pizza lands Paragould man in jail"

"PARAGOULD - A pizza thief was arrested Sunday after he was seen making a run for it with slices of pizza taken from a local pizza buffet, according to police. Danny William Patterson, 51, of 413 East Garland St., Paragould was arrested for commercial burglary and misdemeanor theft of property. Paragould Police Department Investigator Lt. Ken Jackson said Patterson went into the Mazzio's restaurant Sunday, took several slices of pizza from the buffet and fled from the restaurant. Employees chased Patterson, who turned around and pulled what looked like a gun, Jackson continued. The workers backed off and let Patterson have the pizza, according to police.

Police apprehended Patterson later at the Sunset Motel. He was in custody Monday at the Greene County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond."
